Telekom Smart School Sdn Bhd (TSS) and Zeal Hi Tech Sdn Bhd signed memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with South Korean e-Learning solutions provider, Dunet Inc, on Internet protocol television (IPTV).

The Dunet-TSS MOU focuses on IPTV e-learning contents and covers activities such as sharing market trends related to e-learning contents and sharing technological know-how for the development of e-learning contents.
Meanwhile, the Dunet-Zeal collaboration focuses on IPTV solutions and platforms and covers areas such as joint projects for IPTV solution and co-expanding for the overseas market.
Chief Executive Officer for Multimedia Development Corp (MDeC), Datuk Badlisham Ghazali said MSC Malaysia acknowledged that the Korean firms were capable of enriching IPTV e-learning initiative. "This experience is invaluable for MDeC we spearhead the Integrated Content Development Taskforce that assists the government in generating content for the High-Speed Broadband initiative," he said at the signing ceremony in Putrajaya, Selangor, yesterday.
The MOUs are the indirect result of the signing of a MOU in 2008 between MDeC and South Korea's National IT Industry Promotion Agency to collaborate on smart school programmes.
The MOU, signed in conjunction with the World Congress on Information Technology, has led to exchanges and deliberations between Malaysian and South Korean consortiums, ultimately contributing to the IPTV project framework.
Datuk Badlisham said the collaboration between the two countries will generate a revenue of RM 10 million and create some 2,000 jobs. - Bernama
